BuzzLabs Creative Studio is a professional video production and photography studio located in Downtown Aurora, IL at 54 West Downer Place that you can rent hourly or become a Monthly *Member!  BuzzLabs Creative Studio is a turn key option for Content Creators, Photographers and Video Professionals as well as Business Owners and Marketers looking for a place to call home.  With extremely affordable hourly and monthly rates and amenities to make shooting easy no matter if that is portrait shoots, product shoots, interviews or talking head, live streams podcasts, professional social media marketing content, and Content Creation of all kinds.  If you are making content for online this is the place to do it!

This studio is a perfect size for small Video Productions and Video Marketing with our 10 foot ceilings for larger modifiers and lighting like our professional lighting kit from Came-TV. Our studio also features thick carpet flooring for extra sound dampening for audio recordings so you can get the crisp audio you want for your videos.

BuzzLabs Creative Studio features professional audio interface and professional microphones for the best audio in our industry with just a few turns of a knob. This makes the studio a great option for Live Streaming and Podcasts with a host and up to 3 guests or a single guest.

High end photography is easy here. We offer a plethora of modifiers that can be used for both photo and video to really control the lighting in our clean white studio space. We offer large modifiers such as V-Flats from V-Flat World, 5in1 reflectors and different diffusers for awesome lighting techniques for video and photography shoots.

About the Studio

BuzzLabs Creative Studio offers many awesome amenities and gear to our monthly members, renters, and clients using the space. Our professional creative studio space is a 14×11 feet or approximately 154 sq ft with 10 foot ceilings. It is a cozy, spacious and safe place for a Video Professional, Photographer and/or Creative to work by themselves, with peers or with their clients. BuzzLabs Creative Studio can be utilized for Interviews and Talking Head, Advertisements and Social Media Video Marketing, Live Streaming, Photo Shoots, Business Meetings and much more!!

What is Included

Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Disinfecting wipes, spray and paper towels

Parking options

  • Free Street Parking
  • Free Parking Lot
  • Unload Area at Front Door
We are Located at the South East Corner of River St and Downer Place, kiddy corner to the west of our building is “Lot C” a Free 3 Hour Parking Lot as well as street parking available on River and Downer. If you’re renting our space during the week, we suggest you pay special attention to parking restrictions on the streets and in the public parking lots. 
 
The Stolp Island Parking Garage which is free for the first hour of parking and $1 each hour after the first with a max of fee of $5. 
 
If you’re looking for free parking, we suggest Lot C on River just south west of our building which is free for up to 3 hours, or the City Parking Lot next to Scitech Museum on Benton St.
 
If you need to unload equipment you can park in front with your hazard lights on to unload your vehicle. Once unloaded you can park as normal in any of the spaces mentioned above.

Crew Access

  • Front Door Located on Downer Pl. There is one small step at the front door.
 
Staging Area
  • We have a large shared waiting area just outside of our studio that you can use to setup your equipment when extra space is needed. Our Studio has a huge interior windowed wall perfect for friends and family not involved in production to view from.
 
Rooms Available for Shooting
  • The only room available for shooting is our studio unless authorized ahead of time. This is a working office and we are trying to be respectful to our neighbors
  • Shooting the exterior of the building is always allowed
  • Basement Access is allowed if pre-authorized
  • hallways are available if pre-authorized

Our Studio Features a full set of Came-TV Perseus and Boltzen Professional Lighting to give your photos and videos the prefect look and feel you want. We have Modifiers such as a V-Flats For Fill or Negative fills as well as huge 5in1s with stands and reflector holders. You always have the option to use your own lighting and stands or a combination of ours and yours. 

*We ask that you bring your own stands for your own lights or use our unused stands and leave ours Came-TV setup how they are when you arrive. You can move them outside of the room if not needed but please leave the lights on our combo stands and backlights on their stands.

Ambient Noise Description
  • This Space is not soundproof, however, external sounds can be minimized for audio recording purposes.  For the most part you can not hear anyone around. We recommend sound blankets for recordings where audio is most vital.

General Studio Rules:
 
Up to 4 guests are allowed with your reservation
 
All ages are allowed to work in this space
 
All Ethnicities, genders, religions and sexualities are allowed in this space
 
All Political Identities are allowed in this space
 
You Should feel at home at BuzzLabs Studio
 
Production / Business insurance is required
 
Any Broken Equipment will be paid by the guest
 
Any Damaged Equipment will be paid by the guest
 
Any Missing or Lost Equipment will be paid by the guest
 
Furniture and decorations may be moved to accommodate your work
 
Anything can be moved just put if back where it was before
 
Smoke machines are allowed
 
You may bring your own props.
 
No open flames bigger than a candle flame are allowed
 
Smoking is not permitted inside of our building.  You can feel free to smoke on the side of our building or under the overhang next-door.
 
Nudity is allowed in this space
 
Absolutely no operable guns or firearms are to be used as props in our space.  All Guns should be treated as if they are loaded at all times and our space is no exception! Any exemption to our no operable gun prop policy can and will have legal consequences. 
 
Security cameras and recording devices are on 24/7 for your safety and ours. You have access to what is being recorded via our in house monitor but do not have the ability to delete playback or download from the monitor.  If you need a copy of your session for any reason just ask us and we can provide it.
